How do I sign up?

Either with a Google account or with an email address and password - both create the same account. Signing up starts a 14-day free trial, and nothing is charged until it ends.

How do I connect my bank account?

Through a licensed open banking provider - Enable Banking or GoCardless, depending on your bank - so the login happens on your bank's own page. Check the supported banks list first, or read the full walkthrough on the how it works page.

Is my data secure?

Buget never sees your bank login: you authorize read-only access at your bank, and the open banking provider holds that consent. Access tokens and third-party secrets are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and you can revoke a connection at any time from bank connections.

How does categorization work?

Buget ships with a ready-made set of categories, and sorts transactions into them using rules plus embedding-based matching on the description. Anything uncertain lands in a review queue instead of being guessed at silently, and correcting one transaction teaches the matcher for the next. You can rename categories or add your own.

What does the forecast do?

It simulates the months ahead from your own history - recurring income and bills, plus the spread of your variable spending - and shows a likely balance range rather than one made-up number.

Our open banking provider caps how many bank connections we can hold at once. When that cap is full we stop selling new subscriptions instead of overselling them - you join the waitlist and get an email as soon as a slot frees up.

Cancelling is self-service in settings, through the billing portal, and you keep access until the period you already paid for ends. To have your account and its data deleted, write to info@buget.lt.
